I have 6 weeks holiday (as I'm a teacher)..have a few ideas of what to do...But need a bit of inspiration...Anyone know of any holiday type things where you meet lots of poeple, maybe do a bit of work or interesting things rather than lying by a beach? ? love val

A few things of slight interest

1. Ruddy heck..I have a job...starting in September..till March..teaching 3 days a week.. year 5.. children with English as a second language. That means I have 2 days to plan/ do supply teaching/ something new? and 3 days with my own class. Thank you Lord.. altho I am a bit shit scared (sorry to say shit but better to be honest about my feelings than to withold the truth).

2. 'Butterfly' in Spanish is 'Una mariposa'. Phil Tobler texted me this information today and I like it!

3. I had dinner with Rachel Hall, a few others and a boy with toothpaste on his face. I felt quite ill at the sight to be honest.

Here are some things that amused me in recent times:
1) Kate P showed me a letter I wrote to her when I was 14. It included the following:
"It was very windy yesterday but luckily I didn't blow away"
"I jumped off my roof yesterday but fortunately I didn't die"
"Surprisingly my neighbour's dog has grown another tail"
Man, I was so weird. These comments were supposed to be 'jokes'. I'd say my jokes have improved quite a bit since then.
2) Not a lot else as I am still maybe a bit down in the dumps. But today we are having a clothes auction to raise money for cancer research and maybe something else which is a good thing I reckon.
